ResponsiCare^SM is proud to be partnered with Allscripts^TM, an industry-leading medical informatics provider of practice management and electronic health records.

In addition to each patient's paper chart, all information including lab results, procedure notes, progress notes, and personal and family medical history is recorded electronically in our secure, on-site database powered by Allscripts^TMEHR software. This allows any member of the ResponsiCare^SM team to access any patient information from any computer in our clinic as needed, and providers to access your information remotely when they are on call. We are quickly and easily able to track lab results, the status of prescription refill requests, progress notes, and all other necessary health information. It also allows us to send a convenient, easy-to-read copy of any requested records to hospitals, insurance companies, referral caregivers, other doctors, and any other third party as requested by the patient. We also utilize a direct interface with our third-party laboratory services provider, which automatically allows us to insert lab results into the patient's chart. The ability of our system to print prescriptions (as opposed to writing them by hand, which leads to more errors) as well as utilize ePrescribing services provided by various pharmacies, protects patients from dosing and transcription errors. The inclusion of the industry-standard Medi-Span^® database allows us to automatically monitor all prescriptions for potential interactions with other medications. In fact, our system will warn us if we even attempt to write a prescription that you are allergic to or that interacts with any of your other medications. That's responsible!

Transparency

U.S. Citizens may be able to assert their Fifth Amendment rights, but medical records can't. Once your records are saved, they can never be altered. Only annotations are allowed as a built-in mechanism to guard against unauthorized alteration of your health history. If you need to examine your records for any reason, you will be able to view them in a legible, easy-to-read format, not typical "doctor scribble." After all, shouldn't your most important records be stored in a format that is tamper-resistant and readable by another human being? We get records from all over that aren't worth the paper they're written on. Some medical providers even scribble notes to protect themselves in law suits, and "interpret" their notes at trial because nobody else can read them. Tort reform can start anywhere. It should probably start with us. Why not begin with standardization and transparency of vital health records? Poorly-kept records lead to poor continuity of care, errors, and omissions. We're not afraid to let you see your records. In fact, we're rather proud of the way we keep track of you! Can every medical provider make that claim?

Billing

We utilize a professional billing company partnered with industry-leading Allscripts™ Professional PM (formerly Ntierprise™) software for practice management, including patient scheduling, billing, and processing of payments from patients and insurance companies. This system allows our front office staff to verify any of your information regarding contact information, insurance information, and balance on your account. We can also provide you with itemized statements explaining any charges.
