ResponsiCareSM is one of the few North Alabama practices participating in an ongoing study regarding preventitve healthcare measures with this prestigious quality organization. We were selected from hundreds of practices based on our information technology platform, patient demographics, and dedication to quality prevention measures.
Thus far, many of our study metrics show results that significantly better state and even national averages for certain screening measures such as colonoscopy and pneumococcal pneumonia prevention. We have consistently shown a 10-20% improvement in screening for colorectal cancer. Why are we so excited? Because catching bad stuff before it gets worse is what its all about; and the data shows we do it better than most of our peers. In fact, even at our baseline, we were over 20% better at colon cancer screening than our study group cohorts and fully 25% better than the State and National averages. Impressive? Not really. We just care!
